Brian Holcomb

Brian entered the US Navy over 8 years ago at Great Lakes, Illinois where he was trained to be a Hospital Corpsman. After graduation from Corps school Brian attended Field Medical Service School at MCB Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he received training in advanced trauma life support and combat medicine for Marines. From there Brian went to Pensacola, FL where he attended Aerospace Medicine school. After almost 2 years of training Brian reported to his first command in Norfolk, Virginia where he served as lead Aerospace Medical Technician with VAW-125. Brian made 3 deployments to the Persian Gulf aboard various Aircraft Carriers in response to high profile tasker's sent forth by unit commanders.

In 2003 Brian reported to Naval Branch Health Clinic Mayport, FL where he deployed to Iraq with Marine Wing Support Squadron 373 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While deployed Brian flew numerous combat missions through the Al Anbar province providing emergent medical care to Soldiers and Marines with ground forces. Brian was part of TRAP teams that were responsible for extracting Aircrews and Coalition forces brought down by enemy fire. Brian was the resident expert for aircraft mishap investigations for Army and Marine Corps personnel that sustained aircraft mishaps during OIF-2. Brian currently is on active duty in Mayport, FL serving as a squadron medic with Helicopter Light Squadron 46. He is enrolled in University of North Florida's Nursing program.
